1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how Hedgicore (“Hedgicore”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information in connection with the Hedgicore website at hedgicore.com and the Hedgicore platform (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms & Conditions.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address, username and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form and are never stored in readable form.
  • Usage information: how you use the Services, including pairs you view, filters and parameters you set, backtests you run and alerts you create.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system and similar data, collected automatically through logs and cookies for security and performance.
  • Transaction information: your subscription tier and payment history. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors; we receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction tokens, and we do not store full payment-card numbers.
  • Communications: messages you send us, such as support requests and feedback.

3. How we use information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • to provide, maintain and improve the Services and their features;
  • to deliver the alerts and notifications you set up;
  • to secure the Services and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • to process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • to respond to your messages and provide support;
  • to send you service messages and, where you have not opted out, product updates;
  • to comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law applies, we process personal information on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you, to provide the Services; our legitimate interests, to secure, operate and improve the Services and prevent abuse; your consent, for certain communications and cookies, which you may withdraw at any time; and compliance with our legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only:

  • to service providers who help us operate the Services, such as cloud hosting and payment processing, under confidentiality obligations and only as needed to perform their services;
  • where we are required to do so by law, or where disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety or the integrity of the Services;
  • to a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in and keep the Services working, to remember your preferences and to understand and improve how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not function if you disable necessary cookies.

7. International transfers

We operate online, and our service providers may process personal information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, and thereafter for as long as required to meet our legal, accounting and security obligations. You may request deletion of your account by writing to business@hedgicore.com. We may retain limited records where the law requires or where necessary to prevent abuse.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, together with other technical and organisational measures, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your own credentials and devices secure and for notifying us promptly if you suspect a problem.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, write to business@hedgicore.com.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request its deletion, and we do not sell your personal information.

11. Third-party links

The Services may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites and services that we do not operate. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing them with personal information.

12. Age

The Services are not directed to anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under the age of 18, we will delete it. If you believe we may hold such information, contact us at business@hedgicore.com.
